With a background in Engineering and a Masters of Business Administration the role of creating wellness spaces is really nothing short of a major life realignment for me. All my life I have spent in meditation  practicing both silent and solo retreats, yoga, spiritual satsangs and buried in any information that looks like it might have the answers to life’s difficult questions. These hobbies were not only fascinating but seemed to offer some sense to an otherwise unrelated serious of events we  loosely refer to as life.

The low point of 2008 saw my otherwise pleasant personal life fall apart when my only sibling, my big sister was diagnosed, completely out of the blue,  in her early 40’s, with an aggressive form of bone cancer.  She succumbed to the cancer less than 6 months after the original devastating diagnosis. As a long term meditator, yoga student, and organic vegetarian herself, her death completely destroyed my very solid beliefs about this world and how it works.  When my foundations were shattered and the rug pulled out from under me I quickly realised there were no answers to the question how was this possible and how was I going to continue to get up each day and face the pain of her loss.

At the time I really struggled to find adequate support for my own well being. This stuggle will be forever etched onto my consciousness and was really the driving force for me stepping into creating wellness spaces.  My game plan is simple, if I can help others survive this and any of lifes other unpleasant experiences I know without a doubt my very special sister would be smiling down.  My aim is to do nothing more than to be actively engaged in a range of activities that will leave my community and everyone in it, in a better place.

Tea Tree Wellness Founder, Meditation & Mindfulness Teacher and Coach

Tim is an intuitive and compassionate teacher and coach of meditation and mindfulness, specialising in supporting individuals and groups to connect with their inner calm and wisdom so they can bring this into their everyday life.

Tim is a Diploma qualified teacher of meditation with the Australian Centre for Meditation and Mindfulness (ACMM) and has written and coaches the ‘Corporate Meditation and Mindfulness’ elective and the ‘Deepening through Meditative Inquiry’ elective with ACMM. Tim also coaches student meditation teachers with ACMM and runs weekly community groups and corporate groups.

During his one-on-one meditation coaching sessions, he loves assisting people to connect with meditation in a way that works for them. His clients have often tried different approaches and techniques in the past that have not resonated. Tim listens from presence and supports his clients with a tailored meditation.

In his weekly group meditation sessions, Tim focuses on mindfulness and self-inquiry, inviting participants to dive into and explore their present moment experience and ‘who they are’. Tim holds a supportive compassionate space for meditation. 

He is a member of the Meditation Association of Australia (MA) and has been a presenter at several MA forums supporting meditation teachers.
